Matchmove, or matchmoving, is the process of tracking a live-action camera’s motion and recreating it in 3D. This allows CG elements (like characters, objects, or effects) to be placed into a scene in a way that matches the original camera perspective — making the final output look realistic and fully integrated.
Camera Tracking recreates the motion of the physical camera so CG elements move naturally within the scene.
Object Tracking focuses on tracking moving subjects (like cars, props, or even people) for adding or replacing them with CG elements or enhancements
We typically require:
Clean plate or footage (preferably high-resolution)
Camera specifications (focal length, sensor size, lens data if available)
Reference objects or on-set measurements (optional but helpful)
